I have a Bosch BSGL4000GB vacuum cleaner which is a Which? consumer BEST BUY ; is supposed to have brillant suction but this one surpasses it by a mile!
This vacuum cleaner is simply brillant! It comes with 2 different attachements, one is for hard floors (which I used as I only have wooden floors ; works brillantly as when I use my other vacuum cleaner which only has one attachement for all floors it is a bit more tricky) ; another for carpets plus in the attchement hose there's a smaller nozzle for dusting plus without any attchements it has a small nozzle for cleaning small areas.
I love this vacuum cleaner ; although it claims to be light, it is not that much lighter than my avergae vacuum cleaner but is a bit more compact due to shape (although it is not very small). Also it has HEPA filtration which is good for allergy sufferers which traps dust ; dirt inside the vacuum instead of releasing it back into the air.Plus, you can empty the canister hygienically by just pressing one button, good for allergy sufferers ; very hygenic.
I loved this one ; highly recommend.
To sum up:
Pros: POWERFUL, has few different nozzles/attachments for different purposes, HEPA,touch button rewind cable,one touch empty canister, nice colour ; aerodynamic shape!
Cons: heavier than expected, not as compact as expected, all extra bits need storage space
There are so many positives:
There's a really good suction, which remains strong even when it's almost totally full - and a very strong extendible tube. It's compact to put away when not in use.
It comes with two heads - one has carpet/wood etc option and one is an all in one head. We have all wooden floors so use the larger all-in-one.
This head swivels really easily - it is more of a ball and socket action, great for stairs when you're at a different level.
The additional accessories are handy - brush add on for upholstery etc (it's designed for people with pets) and a thinner one to get around and behind things like radiators.
It's really simple to empty - no mess.
It's easy to put back together after cleaning and adding/removing parts.
We don't have pets but it would probably be great for getting rid of dog/cat hairs.
Noise - wise it's quieter than our previous vacuum cleaner.
Only one slight negative: it's quite heavy.
